RLEG is an initiative bringing together regions and autonomies with legislative powers, representing peoples or nations within their Member States. It gathers sub-state entities, which share legislative power with member states and the EU. These regions all hold legislative competences enshrined in the constitutions of their respective member states, and often, are the only institutions to hold such competences.
The members are committed to gather regularly and collaborate, joining efforts in advancing effective multilevel governance and recognition to the unique role of the regions with legislative powers in EU´s policy cycle.
